There is a Jamaican proverb “yu shake man han, but yu noh shake im
hawt.” In this proverb is a simple statement, “You can shake a man's hand,
but you cannot shake his heart.” We humans are not able to detect the real
person by mere appearances. God on the other hand, sees the heart every time.
This is when I shout hallelujah. God looks at us and knows everything about us
and still love us. Despite our faults,
He still loves us. “God proves his love for us in that
while we still were sinners Christ died for us” [Romans 5:8].
