The Great Pretender

Another word for a pretender is a hypocrite. Both types of people are intentionally  dishonest or deceiving.  Typically, people do not want to take ownership of the title hypocrite, but the truth is all of us have lived up to the title hypocrite or pretender for some reason or another. When that happens, people lose trust in us and our character takes a severe hit. The best way to remove the great pretender reputation is to own up to our shenanigans; and confess our sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that we may be healed [James 5:16].
