Cold Bread

The worst thing in the whole wide world is going to the restaurant and getting a basket full of cold bread. Butter on cold bread can be correlated to a spoken word of correction we refuse to hear. My mother used to say, “seems like what I’m telling you goes in one ear and out of the other”.  Why is it that we do not heed warnings of wisdom from the people we love? Matthew 13, tells the story of the sower whose seed has fallen on rocky ground.  Lord help us be receptive to what the Lord Has to say to us.
